This !.Thomas ,for whatever reason ,didn't stay at the top as long as he could have. The man was extremely talented and it was a waste. But as for the question ,it's a easy one for me .

Trainer Angelo Dundee said '' Thomas had a jab that was close to as
Sonny Liston as i have ever seen ". Holmes wanted no part of PT in
the latter part of his title reign. PT had a iron cast jaw and this would
mean he would survive CW onslaught and ko him in mid rds.

Not criticizing you for picking Williams, just the reason you are picking Williams.

I like Thomas but really never saw him accomplish so much .. he had a short run then lost to Berbick and fell off the cliff .. I saw all his fights in his run .. stopping Quick Tillis, the draw w Coetzee, the decision over Witherspoon, the stoppage of Weaver .. to me he was a strong guy with a good left jab, decent overall boxing skills, a good chin but not spectacular .. then, again, he went from champ w a future to losing to Berbic and oblivion .... did he go back on drugs at some point ? I know he quit heroin before becoming a contender but not sure after .. as far as Williams goes I just don't know enough .. he was big, fast and hard punching but it seems most who claim to be experts on that era make him out to be the most her rated guy that ever lived .. I don't know ..
