Heavyweight 15 rounds? Sorry if its annoying you..I learn alot reading these Fantasy matchups from the vets on here
The Pinklon T. who fought "Coetzee, Spoon & Weaver" had a chance with any former great prior to 1960. The Stinklon T. who fought "Berbick, Tyson & Holy" gets beaten and loses on points to Ezzard "Buzzard" Charles.....:bbb MR.BILL
Weaver was pretty shot against Thomas. Coetzee was actually outboxing Pinklon for the first half of the fight, before tiring enough for Thomas to score some points, or so I'm told. Witherspoon may very well be his sole best performance, and that was one of Tim's worst performances and ultimately ruled a majority decision. I don't want to sound like I'm picking on Pinklon, but his depth of quality wins and top performances are rather thin in my honest opinion, or at least when compared to a great like Charles. Thomas's size, power and durability may give Ez' some problems, but I'd pick Charles by a decision.
His jab could very well have given Charles HUGE problems. But, Charles speed, generalship, durability and workrate, along with a more complete arsenal of boxing skills could also give Thomas HUGE problems.
Charles would win he is the better boxer, better in fighter and has greater movement overall he is just a better fighter. Pinklon has a very good jab but besides that Charles has everything else. Charles via UD.
Chuck, I'm gonna start recording your tape tonight. I'll give you "Rahman-Berbick." And I'll toss in the "Tyson-Ruddock" fights along with the "Bowe-Golota" fights.... I'll record in the EP mode to give you approx. SIX hours worth of material... I'll get you some Pinky Thomas crap, as well....:think MR.BILL
Superior mobility? I don't see it.Thomas had a good jab ,and a decent right cross ,which he kept in storage ,in case he wore it out.Charles is a far better all round ring mechanic ,imo ,even at heavy which was his second best weight.
