I'm sitting here watching Tyson vs Thomas and I see that Thomas made a pretty good fight of it. Got me wondering, how would Thomas do against a mini Tyson, Floyd Patterson? He would be about 3 inches taller and 25-30 pounds heavier than Patterson.

    Voted draw.
I think the dkp scoring raises its head here in a bout most think Floyd won going away. See Patterson being a little too nifty for Pinky to solve here. And Floyd's faster feet landing combos and getting out of the way for when Thomas finally looks to counter. Just do not like Pinky's ringsmarts to solve this opponent & style.

So I think and 8-4 type bout that gets called a draw and guess what----we get a rematch due to the controversy.

I'm going to pick Patterson by the slimmest possible margin.

I agree. Think it can be a close fight that tips either way.

I'm going to go with Thomas.
Here's why. Though Patterson was the faster , better skilled fighter between the two, and also faced much better overall competition.
He also had major disadvantages in size and weight.
Thomas also had the best tool to deal with the shorter, faster, better skilled Patterson.
A very underrated jab, which he usually used overtime. ( Thomas's jab gave Holyfield and Tyson fits)
Thomas's jab would be the key to keeping the shorter Patterson at bay. Thomas would have a three-four inch height advantage. A seven inch reach advantage and probably over twenty pounds in weight.
In my opinion this would be too much for Patterson to overcome.
Thomas by late ko . One caveat is it has to be the best version of himself. Before he fell into the nose candy, that ultimately effected his career in a bad way.

I think if Thomas won, it would be a decision. Don't think he'd stop Patterson.

Pinkie would stop Patty by mid-late rounds TKO same way Ali did.

I went with Thomas by stoppage, though I say that with no real conviction. Pinklon had an excellent left jab to go with decent power, height, reach, weight and a solid chin. I honestly don’t see Floyd have any sort of advantage that he could use if Thomas shows up at his best ( which was admittedly a short window. )
