Sabillo has no respect for Estrada and is merely banging the drum with hard singles whenever in range. Can't see Estrada lasting too much longer at this rate. 40-36
Slightly better from Estrada as he actually connets with a few but all the good stuff coming from Sabillo. 50-45
More domination from the champion who takes the first minute off looking to counter off the back foot (Estrada did too little to allow him to do that) then he dominates on the front foot 60-54
Estrada hurt from another body shot but is quickly on the move and is too awkward for Sabillo to finish off. 8-0
http://asianboxing.weebly.com/7/post/2013/07/the-tiger-tames-tricky-estrada.html Nice little write up. Seems the Colombian wanted no part of Sabillo. SLB were you impressed by the champion?
Yeah I was tbh. I'd only seen clips of him before but he looked very decent here, certainly hits harder than his record indicates though I think Estrada would make anyone look bad due to his unwillingness to fight-he was the same against Carlos Buitrago (the stoppage there seemed to be due to the referee being bored more than Buitrago having him in any trouble). Be great if Sabillo did face the Buitrago v Yedras winner but I can't see it sadly.
I was following the fight largely from Ryan Songaila's twitter timeline, and mentioned he always went to the body and reminded him of an early Manny Pacquiao (guessing before PPV days). Anyone that watched Merlito come away with the same impression?
