yeah, i know. i'm sorry. i was going to stop as soon as posted mine. i'm just pissed off about the pac=god thing. i view it as an insult.

do you know pac has his own tv comedy series shown on local tv. he's partnered with one of the most popular actress, a bunch of popular actors, and actresses, a former boxer (1996 barcelona olympics silver medalist), hell even nonito donaire is there. This network (just like any media network) thought it would hit high ratings if pacquiao is in there, to make sure it just do that, they made pac the leading man.

I assume you don't know it, because nobody gives a ****, not even us.

you wanna know where it stands? who knows, just don't look up (it's somewhere in the bottom)

Okay, fair enough - I'm happy to keep it nice and civil like this.

I guess the media in the west have overplayed the Pac phenomenon a little. I remember Ring did an article about him and the implied that every movie or cd he released was a huge hit and any product he advertised became hugely popular overnight.

Still, I'm sure he's made boxing a lot more popular and that can only be a good thing for fighters like Donaire and the next generation of boxers.

    no, just no

yeah, he's made boxing alot more popular, but so did luisito espinosa and mansueto velasco(olympic silver medalist). the difference is, he made it longer. those of his contemporaries' are short-lived

donaire is being played small here because pac is still active, wait till pac retires.

it's true though, he will not be as big as pac. but not because he picked marquez, but because he doesn't live here. he doesn't have the streets charisma

Oh, and why don't you like Robert Garcia? Just curious why you dislike a likeable decent guy like Garcia who readily admitted after the fight that Pacquiao is the best boxer in the world.

This thread makes a sweeping statement that Pinoys don't like Donaire. That's not true. All you have to is visit Pacland and check Nonito Donaire Forum if you can find negative threads about Donaire.

Hmmm... I have to dispute this.... Donaire is well liked in the country... The posters who post here do not hold the general consensus in the Philippines....
