What have nerves got to do with blood supply?

Blood = fuel (oxygen, sugar, etc...)

Nerves = communication device (TV, radio, etc...)

With no blood the nerves begin to die. They are signalling you telling you that something is wrong. When you run out of fuel your communication device shuts off.

Until they can get enough fuel to "reboot" you will feel the tingling sensations. It is the same reason why BJJ choke outs work without crushing your wind pipe (again cutting off the fuel). They compress the blood flow to the brain and the resulting lack of oxygen cuts the brain off.

The gloves work a ****ing treat! Just did a solid 2 minutes on the bag, not going all out, just plodding about throwing poor shots with horrendous technique, then stopped on 2 minutes because my lungs were on fire and I'd started to sweat.

No more tingling does mean I can use the heavy bag comfortably now though, so cheers AndrewFFC and everyone else.
