If these two faced each other instead of Duran, who wins?

Cuevas was a natural welterweight, Moore was a big Jr. Middleweight.

Cuevas fought a lot of good welterweights, so he has the edge in experience (35 fights).

    Moore.....had only 23 pro fights.

But the Moore who beat Ayub Kalule probably TKO's Pipino
    in 10 rounds.

Moore has serious power of his own with better boxing fundamentals behind it.

    Great chin too.

Hearns ruined Cuevas, Moore too would have beaten him at this stage of his career. Peak Cuevas would have been a show, but not against the good versions of Duran i don't think.

Moore would absorb the not so leathal bombs of Cueves and score his own devistating punches to score a mid rounds stoppage, much the same scenario as the Cueves-Duran fight. But a pre-Hearns, confident Cuevas would unleash his left hook with damaging results on a Davey Moore who liked to exchange punches too much for his own good.

Could Cuevas move up in weight and challenge Davey on his own turf?
