I like Trinidad`s punching technique and quickness over Cuevas. Pipino had the better chin at least during his peak as Welterweight Champion.

I think there would be a small window where Tito would be susceptible to a possible knockout...he caught and put on his butt a few times early when he was working his way into the fight..one of Pipino's bombs may well put him down for good.

After that I think he would expose Cuevas' chin as not being as good as people thought it was...but Pipino still takes some a bit of a licking before he succumbs.

Tito would get him out of there in the mid-rounds I reckon.

    Fair view here

I am of the opinion that Hearns and Trinidad are very alike the more I watch them Tito early probably here at 147 he was criminally good

Going back and watching Trinidad`s early years at Welterweight its suprising to see how fast he was. Talking about `93 `94. His more famous Welter fights in the late 90`s exposed a slower more plodding version. The weight had taken its toll on him even though he was only in his late 20s.

I'll go against the grain and take Cuevas early.

I just do not like that Mike Weaver type slow start Trinidad got out of the gate with. Not against this guy. Cuevas was bombing early and has the height and reach to catch Felix early. The other thing was Pepino did not do the jab to set things up most guys use. Nope. He was winging away. And he was a bone breaker with that left hook & it always seemed like Trinidad just didn't get his legs working until like halfway thru the 3rd round.

7.5 minutes against the punches Cuevas throws early is just too much time. So I go with tko2 after about 4 knockdowns.

Trinidad for me. It would be a pretty good fight for as long as it lasted. I doubt it goes the distance no matter who wins.

No. Hearns and Tito are not alike, Tito had the left hook, but hearns had the jab and right hand and Cuevas has the left hook as well. I think Cuevas knocks out Tito. he was a very strong puncher.

Cuevas would knock him into next week.
Tito had no chin to withstand Cuevas bombs.
    Anthony Stephens almost stopped Tito.
Cuevas breaks bones when he hits. And he could take Titos bombs.
