Anyone ever seen this before? I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the answer is a resounding "no" and I've managed to sweep classic off it's collective feet. You can see the noticeable size difference between the two, mainly in height. No surprise Baca moved up to, and was successful at, 154 pounds. You can only imagine the type of experience Baca gained here and in the deep waters he was thrown into early steeled him for eventual career success and more than a few upsets and even some revenge victories. Anyway, rarely seen and obscure footage is always the type I have the most fun with, hope you guys enjoy it as well. This content is protected
It takes a few rounds to get going, but these two pure bred Mexican badasses give us a pretty good little match all things considered, mostly the fact that it's for charity and is still a better match up than some of the garbage quality fights they currently televise...
Yawn. Not this video yet again. This, coupled with your post on 70s LHWs, you really are becoming the bore of the board, aren't you, Russ?
Note to self.....DO not volunteer to do a charity exhibition with Cuevas...too painful Pipino was not playing around he threw hard shots in their he was a warrior and it seems he had the mindset a fight is a fight is a fight
He was definitely bringing more and more heat as the fight wore on, in rounds three and four he just barely misses on some very big shots that more than likely would have done real harm to Vaca, who was not known to have the sturdiest skin. Interesting that these two would eventually meet down the road as Vaca himself went on an impressive winning streak to lift himself out of the deeply competitive Mexican scene of the day all the way to a world championship...
