2 Mexicans who were dangerous power punchers at 147. Who ends up getting put down and stopped first? This content is protected This content is protected
Like both but for me Pipino would won this by stoppage in midrounds.IMO his left hook would be too much for Maestrito.
Possibly neither - I think Cuevas would keep Lopez on the defensive & outwork him to a dec., though he may score a stoppage along the way as well.
Any welterweight in history Cuevas can land on cleanly and consistently he stops... Jose Lopez was a decent welterweight. He was tough as nails, and always came to fight. But his defense was either block or take the shot. He had very little head movement, and rarely slipped punches. Lopez never faced ANYONE with close to the bone breaking force Cuevas had in his fist. Against Cuevas, at his best any version of Lopez eventually gets koed. Lopez's defensive liabilities would cost him dearly Against probably the hardest punching welterweight in history.
