Margarito was a punching bag, Pipino kills him

The way to beat Pipino was to hit him and NOT get hit BY him. Plasterito was a little too easy to hit to win this one.

Margarito would need a gun to beat Cuevas.

Ok, Cuevas wasn't THAT good. He was a great puncher but nowhere near as dynamic and skillful as Cotto. I would still lean towards Cuevas though. Margarito isn't too hard to catch with left hooks because his guard is basic and not difficult to work around. But Margarito brings a lot of pressure, had a granite chin, and he was a huge welterweight. And he wasn't a bad fighter at all, technically. Cuevas seemed to show a good chin pre-Hearns and Margarito didn't have one punch power. I think this would be a competitive fight where Margarito gets stopped late.

Cotto is the one who "wasnt that good".

I would never use the word "dynamic" to describe Miguel Cotto.

Cotto was a much better fighter than Cuevas. And compared to Cuevas, Cotto was dynamic af. Cuevas wasn't that good of a boxer. Most of his title defences were against mediocre fighters and he never fought Palomino. He got destroyed once he fought elite opposition. Keep overselling him though.

Pipino was great. He defended against good top contenders and destroyed thrm while Palomino fought guys fromm nowheresville except for Muniz. Poster is just another Johnny cum lately know it all but really knows NOTHING of the era.

Cuvas would steamroll Cotto at welter. Please. You thing Antonio put him under pressure? Now picture a boxer with breaking bones power coming at you all night with a rock soild chin.
Pipino BROKE opponents jaws, eye sockets, cheek bones etc.

Iron chin vs broke bones type of power.

War for as long as it lasts but Margos non existent defense will spell domm for him ,if Mosley was able to crack his chin then Cuevas who hit harder surely would too.

This ends with Margo leaving the ring on a stretcher.

I never said Palomino was fighting great opposition. They both benefitted from fighting in a weak era. Put Margarito in his place and he beats everyone Cuevas beat and doesn't get humiliated the way Cuevas did. I had to google "Johnny cum lately" lol. You've been here for a long time, why don't you educate me on this great era? Tell me about the Espadas and the Ranzanys. The great contenders of that era. Well, champion in Espada's case. Must've been a great fighter to win a title during that era. Tell me how beautiful Cuevas' style was, how his left hooks were never telegraphed and always hit the target. Tell me about his great defence too. So much to learn!

Mosley was a good puncher and he had speed Cuevas couldn't even dream of. Mosley was landing his right hand at will and still took him 9 rounds to get rid of Margarito. How great was Cuevas' defence?

Cuevas defense was far from great still better than Margarito and the difference in power would be huge, In a shootout i just cant see Margarito surviving against Cuevas no way it happens.

Pretty much tells the whole story kid! Btw, also in the 70s a "golden feather" was a term for the male organ in the gay disco community. What an idiot!!!!!
