AS perverse as it might sound, its Marlons ability to often switch off and do little that would serve him well in this fight, Pipino has a KO artists mentality and if he fails to make much impression on Marlon, i the first 5 rounds, because Marlon has "Shut Up Shop" and deny Pipino the Trading he wants, then Pipino will i feel get frustrated that he hasnt made any "Dent" Marlon may Come out from his "Peek-A-Boo" to stick his Tongue out at Pipino, and do his "Stomp" All Adding to
Piino's Frustration, Circa the 6th Marlon i feel would start getting down to business, Launching Quick pin-point Rallies fron behind is Guard, He will of Mapped Pipino, throughly, Marlon would increase the Frequency and Power of these Rallies, And Pipino would start to feel dejected and visably Leak enthsiasiam . by the 9th Marlon would launch his extended combinationa and a disheartened Pipino Falls, perhaps more disheartened than actually Ko'd.

 

Good analysis. I think Marlon would let Cuevas punch himself out, then turn it on. But, I think prime Cuevas lasts the distance, no ko in this one. Marlon wouldn't trade with Cuevas, and wouldn't get caught with the left hook while trading. That's how Pipino scored alot of his ko's, Marlon's too smart for that.

 

"Moochie" just too skilled and good for Cuevas...... Cuevas' only hope is Starling gets caught day-dreaming in the ring...... Starling can see all them round-ass power-shots that Cuevas throws..... Starling counters, slices and dices Cuevas into defeat.....

Starling wins a 15 round decison by comfortable margin, defuses Pipino early, and outboxes Cuevas as Marlon can when he's focused.

 

I always liked a srong offense over a weak offense. No, the defensive minded fighter is not going to knock out the offense oriented fighter with a strong chim, especially not someone like Starling (who lost to bump city bumphus) no way no how. He barely even got by Breland

 

i think Starling can jolt Cuevas with some sharp counters. Brelad is a different stylistic challenge altogether

 

LOL. But I think that the Molinares ko loss was a freak thing and won't affect my prediction of whoat would happen in a fight between Starling and Cuevas.

 

Cuevas was a more intense fighter. Starling did well when he fought guys who were near the end and had a big weakness.

 

Tough to say. Starling could allow himself to be outworked, but Cuevas ate counterpunches like candy.
