I was just wondering, what is the general opinion on this matchup ? I personally I see a slam bang brawl with Ricardo facing the ceiling.
Ricardo's iron chin and clubbing power of his own makes him a threat, but it's very, very, very bad to be so easy to hit when up against Cuevas. Pipino inside of 5. Fun fight for a while.
Mayorga might surprise with his quicker hands and awkward delivery here. Good chance he might even bash Pipino at times early on. But if he got cute with any of that free shot bravado stuff his jaw would be hanging on by tendons. I think he might try it once and then think better of it...before eventually getting caught with a short shot inside that he doens't brace himself for..he doesn't go straight away but it wouldn't be long..I think Cuevas' bodywork would be his undoing eventually.
mayorga, the lovable loser. waiting for the poster to comment on what a 24'7 would be like with mayorga talking about cuevas mom. only to be knocked out or beat up during the actual fight
I don't know, Mayorga took a few of Trinidad's hooks cleanly and still managed to last until the latter half of the fight. Honestly, his subsequent losses was maybe due to the beating he took from Tito. I'd say this is pretty even.
