Simon was very, very good but Pipino’s equalizer is more like a nuclear deterrent. I figure Cuevas gets him around the ninth.
Fantastic matchup and IMO the sort of fight where it's almost impossible to separate them. Brown would have to be very good defensively for quite a long time.....
Each guy could bomb the other out! I'm not sure which Brown would show up. Cuevas was much more consistent.
I think you either had to have been blessed with innate cleverness, with a cood chin and/or a Hearns-ish size advantage with Hearn's great right hand equalizer to deal with Cuevas, so Simon Brown likely gets vaporized.
At prime, Cuevas was a force of nature. I love me some Simon Brown but wouldn't bet on him avoiding Pipino for that many rounds.
