He will likely be 36 by the time he gets any opportunity to shine again. And it´s not like hes been in the gym all this time. Injuries take their toll in more than one way.
He was due to fight him pre-injury if I recall. He needs a few fights though before looking toward titles
Until a fight is signed, it is just a hope. He announced his returns multiple times in the past and then his back was misbehaving again.
I don't think Pirog will fight the triple god in his first year back, but I believe he at least has the cojones to share the ring with him. Unlike the other decent names. But with what Pirog did to Jacobs, I'm pretty sure he will have a hard time getting "names" into the ring as well. Canelo will flee, no need for a Jacobs rematch, Quillin will run and wouldn't stand a chance, Saunders would want $5M + home advantage, Eubank Sr would claim Jr pounds him but fight bums instead... You get my point.
Basing it on http://www.skysports.com/boxing/new...return-to-action-after-four-year-ring-absence They might have got it from the account, doesn't specify
Uh, they have. :-( "He said: "Watching everyone compete makes me hungrier every day to return. 2016 return..." -- that is from his tweet and that account is 100% fake. Too bad, I wanted to see Pirog back as well, but it is not gonna happen.
ON A SIDE NOTE: nobuhiro ishida who pirog beat on points and was blasted out by ggg went on to fight fujimoto for the japanese heavyweight title but lost on points.
I think Pirog was the class of the division. If he's really coming back and he hasn't lost a step, that's one thing. But I can't see him performing at that same level as pre-retirement. Slick and white/:yep :hey
