Pirog Vs. Korobov - Soviet Assault

Honestly Korobov hasn't impressed me much at all.

 

Korobov too skilled. Haven't seen him for awhile though. Anyone know whats happening with him?

I think Dmitry stops Mat (and that's not based just on the KO of Jacobs...but is reinforced by it...)

 

Korobov looked **** in his last fight and is undergoing surgery on his nose because of stamina issues or some ****.

I pick Pirog in this one.

 

Korobov's not ready.

 

Korobov is going to be a monster. Pirog is a good fighter but not on Korobov's level IMO, that said I've only seen him once but was very impressed.

 

Didn't see the fights...how did Pirog look? I know he knocked Jacobs out but other than knockout did he dominate?

 

He lost three of the first four rounds but they were fairly close. He really irritated Jacobs with his serpentine movement and awkward punching habits. You could start to smell the KO brewing a couple of rounds in if Jacobs wasn't careful...and...he wasn't.

Most observers agree that Pirog looked awesome; very fan friendly.

 

It was a fairly close fight, I know the offical cards had it 3-1 for Danny, although I had it 2-2.

But it was obvious Pirog was putting HUGE amounts of pressure on Danny, and you could tell Jacobs didn't know how to deal with it, and I felt from the second round on that Pirog was gonna pull the upset.

 

Korobov's defense needs some work. Pirog by KO

 

I saw Korobov once, but from what I saw he has the goods. Smart thinking fighter, awesome fighting instincts, good speed and power and finally nice technique. Haven't seen enough of Pirog to make a judgement.
