    From F***tnews:

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Pitalua KOs Santa Cruz!
Lightweight Antonio Pitalua scored a sixth round knockout over Armando Santa Cruz in a WBC lightweight eliminator at the Arena Coliseo in Monterrey, Mexico. Pitalua floored Santa Cruz in round four and finished him at 2:50 of round six. He will now face unbeaten Edwin Valero by the end of the year for the WBC interim title as reigning WBC champion Manny Pacquiao is committed to fight Oscar de la Hoya on December 6 and unable to defend the belt.

no big surprise, I don't think anyone ever pegged SC as being anything special.... in a way that makes it worse that he got robbed though, because he will almost certainly never have a moment like that again.

Yes, I guess that's true. No one ever said that Santa Cruz was one of the best lightweights out there. I just think it's funny that, after all of the commotion that has gone on about how he should be the lineal champion, if not for the robbery against Casamayor. What happens? He goes and gets knocked out in his next fight.

Cruz was nothing special. While I didn't think this guy was gonna beat him, I'm not really that surprised either.

Damn. I thought Santa Cruz would prevail here. Oh well. I guess that at least kills whatever lingering controversy there was.
