I just rewatched the Canelo fight and I can say that Plant outboxes Benavidez clearly. I don't even know why is Benavidez very high ranking fighter. His resume is full of Uber drivers. People make fun of with Plant because of this but Benavidez isn't different. Anyway, like I said, Plant outboxes Benavidez. His shoulder roll technique is actually pretty good and even "prime" Canelo struggled with it sometimes. Thoughts?
Because he is Canelo. Plant was scared of getting countered. Even prime Canelo barely knocked him out. Benavidez can't do any sh*t. Plant has better defense and faster hands.
Could be, by I don't think Plant has the power to keep Benavidez honest for 12 rds. He might still pull it off by putting lots of early rds in the bank, but I think he'll have a rough ride down the stretch.
