Im sick of this sh*t now.. if boxers start trying to feign injury to gain time / points then the sport is in trouble. Look at soccer 20 years ago..there was relatively so little play acting in the game it made the news when it happened.. now its ruining the game..

Hopkins reminds me of the football player Robbie Savage. He's ok wen he is dishing out the fouls but when he gets one back he falls like he's been ****ing shot.

Hopkins was a disgrace at times last night.

Hopkins did the same against Calzaghe.

Yea, I'm really hoping this shitty trend stops. Falling on the ground bullshiting is ****ing disgraceful. Somebody already mentioned Soccer and how it's ruining that game, and it is also ****ed up the NBA and the NBA is in a shitty state and really is in on it's death bed. Boxing is sport for men, not crying like a ***** and trying to get time. If this **** starts plaguing the sport in the next few years I blame Clottey, Hopkins and Dirrell.

    Too true.

Hopkins for all his apparent "toughness" is like a girl at times.

I havent watched football (soccer) for years because of this now. I despise seeing these fairys rolling around as if someone has dropped an anvil on their heads.

Easy enough to stamp out. If someone goes down voluntarily, then that is a knockdown. Start counting, they'll soon get up.

It wasn't a joke. I haven't seen last nights fight yet, but there was a moment in Hopkins/Calzaghe where Hopkins did not even get hit, threw himself down claiming a low blow, Cortez just told him to get up again and he did.

Cortez got it completely wrong. If you voluntarily go down, that is a knockdown. He should have counted and Calzaghe should have been credited for the knockdown in that round. If Cortez had called it correctly, I doubt Hopkins would be pulling that **** again.

Didn't that used to be the rule???

If you went down to an illegal blow you had to beat the count then you got the rest period :yep

If you go down from illegal blows then I don't have a problem.

Hopkins' problem appears to be going down from legal blows or no blows at all just so he can fake it and get a rest...
