...let's say you was Pacquiao's promoter. Who would you have him fight next? Me I'd have him fight a relative nobody next. Pac has had two bad fights in a row. He desperately needs to regain his own confidence, and the confidence of his fans. He needs - and deserves - a showcase fight. There is nothing wrong with showcase fights. Every great fighter, past and present has done it. This is particular is good for both a business and, for Pac - mental aspect. I'd have Pac fight a showcase fight on free HBO. After the ass kicking, Pac's popularity will be back on a high level, an interest in Pac-FMJ will also be back at high levels...

...fighting Cotto, Bradley, or JMM is stupid from a business standpoint. They all are too risky for Pac atm. Maybe after the showcase fight, but for now...:nono

Now, let's say you are FMJ's promoter...or should I say his advisor, since he calls his own shots. Me, I'd advise him to just chill. Get back in shape, get his motivation back, watch what Pac does in his next fight, then go from there. If Pac wins his next fight, whether it's a showcase of not, do whatever you can to make a fight with the man. Take the easy W, and big ass payday!

    Free HBO? Not a chance.

Anyway, I'd push for Pacquiao vs Berto. Big enough name to generate decent interest/sales and Berto doesn't have the chin to pose a major threat to Manny.

I'd give him a hug and thank him for all the cash he made me.

    Why not? Wasn't Hopkins/Allen ODLH/Strum on HBO? Was it...?:huh

Considering his current predicament, free HBO for Pac makes sense from a business standpoint, imo.

Nah, if its a shitty boxer, Pac will probably not have a serious camp.

What Pac is going through is something that no promoter can fix or hide. And that is Father Time. Pac is getting old..

I do think Pac is on the decline. I also think he has the ability to at least somewhat compete with Mayweather, but before he steps into the ring with Floyd - he needs to looks spectacular. And who knows? Maybe he'd even beat Mayweather.

I really like Joan Guzman at 147 against Pac. I think he could possibly outbox Pac at this weight..but it would also expose him as well.

I like Brandon Rios vs Pac.

and I hate to say it..but I think Bailey vs Pac would be f'n spectacular.:happy

Mike Jones was definitely supposed to get a ticket against Pac had he won..
