Nah, don't go there Carlo. Hopkins would probably win with a big UD, easier than Pavlik.

 

This fight isn't going to happen.

Fighting Hopkins in your 2nd title defence would be a ridiculous career move for anyone.

Hopkins wants it, but Hennessy and Froch surely wouldn't. There are young guys to fight, exciting contenders, solid title holders.

I can't believe these non starter threads drag on - for no reason.

Just cos Hopkins wants a fight doesn't mean it happens.

Froch is with Showtime, HBO wouldn't come to UK for Froch anyway. Until someone shows us something, this looks like a total non starter.

 

I don't get why anyone would go near Hopkins it's a no-win situation. He doesn't have a draw and his spoiling style makes any fight he's in utter shite as a spectacle which is not what Froch needs at this point plus if in the slim chance that Froch beats him he'll get no credit as Hopkins has been beaten before and is an old man. Anyone else think Froch's best opponent next would be Andrade. An entertaining fight which would be very winnable for Froch

Bhop brings nothing to the table, his ridiculous pay demands will ensure the fight doesn't happen.

Perhaps the only thing for Froch would be a percentage of a huge HBO deal... but I don't think anyone would put enough money on the table for a Hopkins fight.

 

Froch can't be stupid - he'd lose to Hopkins horrifically. he might never fight again.
