I thought their Silver belt was basically a new name given to their interim belt? Or did I miss something?

Because after Ortiz-Lopez's WBC Silver bout we have the upcoming Guerrero-Aydin for the WBC Interim.

I guess they couldn't stop themselves.

Isnt the silver belt greater than the (normal belt) but not as good as the gold one (when it gets introduced)

    WBC Silver belt champ
    WBC champ
WBC interim (interim to become WBC champ) but not silver champ!

    **** Knows!

No no no you silly goose the Silver is just above inter continental and pan american but beneath interim, regular and super. However, it is on a similar level to the ruby but beneath the Silver-ruby belt. Hope thats cleared it up:good

The silver belt is there so Sillyman can give it to non profitable champions (ie. Not Mexicans) allowing profitable fighters to fight for the regular belt. (Mexicans)
Basically its easier to promote an undesirable rather than strip them. See Graciano Rocchigianni and Toshiaki Nishioka.

Silver Championship. In its discretion, on such terms and conditions as it may impose, the WBC may designate or order and award WBC Silver Championships of the World in each weight division. The WBC Silver Championship is a world title superior to all WBC championships except the World or Diamond Championships. The WBC may designate the challengers for a Silver Championship from among any Qualified Challengers. A Silver Champion must comply with all defense and other obligations applicable to WBC World Champions hereunder as the WBC shall order in its discretion. A Silver Champion shall not be a mandatory contender for the WBC World Championship absent winning a final elimination bout for the World title, unless a written exception has been approved by a majority vote of the WBC Board of Governors in its sole discretion.

Just another title for them to make more money.

The silver belt was supposed to be another name for the interim belt, now they've brought interim titles back

  11. ****ing hell, they couldn't be any more blatant about it. They just don't give a ****.

At least the WBA try to pretend that Super Champions have to be unified with another organisation or some other bull****.

Looking at the WBC rules they've got World Champions, Silver Champions, Diamond Champions, Champions in Recess and Emeritus Champions.

There's no mention of Interim tiles even though they still exist (the Aydin/Guerrero fight is for a interim title).

Plus, we've all heard of the WBC International Title that gets you a world ranking. Guess what? There's also a WBC International Silver title

  13. Can't believe Chisora is being denied the opportunity to fight for 12 of the 39 world heavyweight titles. He must be gutted.

That basically means that to be in the top 10 of the WBC rankings you're paying a sanctioning fee for a ''title'' every fight?
