Please do not overrate David Tua Vs. Monte Barrett!

    I saw threads saying that Barrett deserves a shot at Wlad and other big names. That's ridiculous. He bet a 40 year old Tua. Not the Tua that KO'd Michael Moorer or who fought Lennox Lewis and Hasim Rahman twice. He is years out of prime, same with Barrett. Actually, neither should fight no more. Over the last 2 years Tua has fought bums Demetrice King (15-19-0), Shane Cameron ( 23-1-0) , Friday Ahunany (24-5-3), None of these guys are big names.

    My point being Tua is WAY out of prime and has been looking good verses bums. Do not overrate the Barrett win. David Haye and Solis both quickly KO'd Barrett. There is no way he deserves another shot at Wladimir Klitschko.

    no way barrett should be fighting wladimir or haye again! but there are some money fights out there that he can still win! if barrett vs mormeck can get made he should take the payday no matter what! if not then he should retire no doubt i dont want to see him hurt even though the performance was good tonight!

    I saw a thread about Wlad ducking Barrett. Just because he bet a 40 year old Tua dosen't mean he'd beat Wlad, or any big name.

    If you had took the time to actually read the thread you would know it was ironic. Of course Barrett is nowhere neaar title contention, but it was a nice win and entertaining fight nevertheless.

    Barrett is the number one contender in my eyes. He's approaching legend status as his epic rise from the ashes is almost complete.

    It's already Ruslan Chagaev verses Povetkin. That's perfect I think. Barrett needs to fight a guy like Tyson Fury or Chisora to proof he deserves it.
