    Gamboa hasn't fought anyone.
    Lopez just whooped a HOFer.

When Gamboa steps it up, then we'll talk.

Gamboa can't take Lopez's power, period.

BTW, Lopez's toughness and chin was tested tonight, so those mindless ****s who say this guy is soft and doesn't have a chin are clueless.

I wouldn't say Gamboa has no chance, but it is stupid to say he'd blow Juanma out just because he's looked spectacular against mediocre competition.
It's like claiming Boise St. is the best college football team in the nation because they beat all those high school teams they play by 50 points every week.

Gamboa would have knocked Marquez out 2 or 3 rounds earlier. He'll knock Lopez out.

You're point? I'm talking about top level guys. Juanma had a bad night, but has beaten a lot of guys a lot better than Mtwaga. To date, that's the best win on Gamboa's resume.

Read more, post less and learn a thing or two.

He's whopped 2 HOF'ers if you count Penalosa. I wasn't sure Lopez would take the shots he did but he proved me wrong and gained my respect. He still doesn't win me over as a fan for some reason I mean I'm a fan of Benitez, Gomez, Trinidad, and Cotto but not Lopez. Oh well, much respect to both Marquez & Lopez they fought in a FOTY candidate.

gamboa's problem is bad footwork which leaves him off balance when he throws and out of position and leaves him open to counter/balance shots which have often sent him to the canvas...unhurt but still. juanma should be able to really take advantage of this but gamboa is very powerful athlete. he will not stand there with his head down eating uppercuts like rafa was. juanmas great win tonight doesnt mean gamboa doesnt have a chance. totally different fighter w/ a totally different skill set.

it will/could be a great fight.

My point is not to write off Gamboa when Lopez went through hell with someone like Mtagwa. Marquez is very past it, if not shot. He had 3 horrific wars with Isreal Vasquez.

    This post is a fail.

Marquez would KNOCKOUT Gamboa before Gamboa knocks out Marquez.
Gamboa leaves himself open too much and would get leveled and dropped. Marquez is excellent at hitting from angles and has enough power and handspeed to give it to Gamboa.

Your assessment of Gamboa has come from fighting fighters who aren't worth to be talked about.

He's not proven, not tested(only if you count him getting knocked on his ass by scrubs), and he'll get exposed by ELITE CLASS FEATHERWEIGHTS.

    Simple.

The Gamboa hype has to die already.
