Great win and dude deserves credit but a few facts about zab judah... he has no defense he doesn't throw any punches besides that counter hookercut he isn't slick Kahn did what he should have and its not a shocking or impressive victory imo....he could have beaten zab up even worst..... he's going to whip everyones ass in 140...most interesting fight would be vs bradley but he would beat him too... I'll start to be impressed if he starts taking people out at 140
It was a solid win and a disappointing fight. That's on Judah though, Khan dominated him every round and made him quit. At least the guy is trying to get fights, and I give him credit for that. Hopefully the Bradley fight can still be worked out, if not he might as well move up to 147, he's certainly big enough.
His defense is eons better than what it was a couple of years ago, even if it is a tad one dimensional. (He covers up into a ball leaving his body open). As for punches, he throws more punches right now than anyone in the game. Sure, they don't all connect, but his work rate is unmatched. He's slick for his style, which is in and out, avoiding any dangerous counter opportunity. Also, his inside game has improved a little. He took a chance with the body shot in RD5 because it left him open for an uppercut, which was nice to seem him taking that risk.
I mean I don't think its fair for any of us to accuse zab of faking or not... he was wearing his shorts really high but the shot looked legal. I think if anything the shot hit him in the groin area (below your waist line) and it gave him the sensation of a low blow either way zab ain't **** really and to me this is like kahn beating a bum... zabs only chance was a lucky shot really
B caliber fight and victory.... but what showed is Khan's improvement in his footwork, spacing, punch selection, and timing/anticipation. He couldnt miss w/ his speed & timing. And Judah just couldnt move out of the way and unable to change into a block. He knew this fight turned insurmountable to win...
I've been saying kahn will beat anyone at 140 for the past 2 years. I guess it just doesn't come as a shock to me. His advantage is his size @ 140... at 147 he will struggle against bigger fighters a margarito type of fighter would probably beat him floyd would get him out also.... floyd would beat him to the punch for most of the night...
I dont see how you can over rate a perfect performance against a solid B level fighter where you win every second of every rd and stop him decisively. IMO he deserves accolades.
like I said he deserves credit for winning but zab never had a chance honestly.... some people are saying this win makes kahn a top 10 p4p'er.... absolutely not... zab sucks realistically.... he lost to mattyshe
If anything this win will be underrated by a lot of people... I mean just look at the opinions on here before the fight, it was almost a 50/50 split on who was gonna win, especially after the phenomenal shape Judah came in at. A lot of people thought Khan wouldn't make it out of the first 6 rounds... and even if he did the fight would be close. Yet he ****ing dominated him from the opening bell. Even against a faded Judah, that's an impressive feat. No one has outboxed Zab like that.
opinions don't mean ****... the truth means ****... everyone always over hypes zab because he has more talent than 95% of the boxing world... dude simply can't fight tho
:think So, if, in your mind, beating a fighter who "ain't ****" and "sucks", has one punch and no defense is a "great win" than what's a win like Frazier over Ali, for instance? Ultra-great? Uber-fantastic?
