I mean fans not being consistent with what they want. First they wanted streaming and wanted to move away from cable. There wish was answered and now they are whining about wanting to go back.

DAZN has tons of sports for a very solid prize. You don't have to pay more for fights or something, you have fixed prize for every months and you are getting a shitload of content. DAZN is great.

PPV is a joke, DAZN isn't PPV.

If the market solidifies around a particular model be it PPV or streaming then i agree it's merely being remodelled to fit new ways to deliver content. But I'm not sure that will happen. Here in the UK, live football (soccer) was initially on terrestrial TV before the rights were bought by Sky. Then BT Sport took a slice of the pie and now Amazon have a small stake too. So 30 years ago it was free, 26 years ago you had to pay one company and now three, if you want all available content. With each additional provider creating an additional cost.

Putting aside chest-puffing claims of relative wealth - like paying more is a good thing - how is that a better way for the consumer?

The game is changing for all parties involved (fighters, promoters, fans, etc). Evolve with the times or get left behind. I will continue to financially support the boxing institution, despite the corruption and greed from the outsiders, because the fighters deserve to be paid.

lol, sometimes, actually a lot of times you're a little ***** Lance, seriously lol

Just like I said there were plenty of GGG fans that claimed he was brave for fighting Brook "a bigger opponent", and you responded with your self righteous condescending tone telling me I was making that up.

Go find me a post from a Floyd fan (not a troll disguised as Floyd fan) stating that they would prefer to pay to watch Floyd fight on PPV, or STFU you hypocrite.

You tried to call me out because I didn't want to go through thousands of **** posts by GGGoons, well then be a man of your standard and do what I wasn't willing to do you little turd.

You're a terrible poster, not just because of you're simpleton view points, but because of your hypocrisy, inconsistency, and how you utterly disrespect anyone who challenges you.

I love the sport of boxing and I really hope that all boxers get paid well. But I also don't want to pay $79.95 for every major PPV.

As such, I'm very happy to have paid $50 for an annual subscription to ESPN+ to see Crawford and Pacquiao and I hope all fighters on ESPN+ receive a portion of the subscription fee.

$5.00 is just one less venti iced macchiato a month for me.

I actually don't mind paying for a PPV. But only when warranted, and NOT just to pay for outlandish purse demands. Once upo a time, there were only a few PPV's a year. Major champs fought on HBO and SHO all the time. It needs to go back to that model.

I’m one of those fans, though not below the poverty line, that decided to no longer spend my hard-earned income on boxing. I basically owned a TV and had cable to watch boxing and if I wound up liking other shows then it was a bonus. But with a $130 a month cable bill, including HBO, Showtime and espn2 and having to pay an additional $75 - $100 for the really good fights? I said to hell with it about 6 years ago. Manny and Floyd finding a way to not fight each other was my breaking point.
My wife and I haven’t had cable in 6 years and we have no regrets.
