How is it humanly possible that an objective fan of boxing with years of watching, reading and following the sport of boxing, with an interest in all weight classes have Joe C ahead of Pac in the P4P ratings?

    My argument is simple:

    Barrera
    Morales
    Marquez

faceing and beating these 3 legends is far and away greater than anything Calzaghe has ever done. Obviously he is the greater fighter period. Until Joe steps up and does something similar he will always be behind Pac.

I have PBF #1 and fading fast
    Pac #2
    Joe C #3

Calzaghe is a superior fighter, full-stop

Based on the fact that he couldnt stop a 43 year old man who had no legs left for the last 6 rounds? When pac faced an older legend (29/30), he faded in the later rounds and he did stop him and in style.

I have the exact same 1 though 3, and the only reason one could possibly have Calzaghe rated higher is due to personal bias of one form or another.

No reasonable person would do this.

    Nice selective point there:lol:

If we are going to use Calzaghe's recent victory, at least he actually clearly won the fight, unlike Pacman.

Thats it!!!! thats the sum total tangible evidence, then why is it that Pac has destroyed superior fighters full stop and Calzaghe has not. Fragile hands are a ***** in the armor and therefore a liablity and counts as a negative in head to head comparison for P4P supremacy I say.

But Pacquiao was actually facing a superior fighter (at this point in their careers, JMM is a better fighter than Hopkins). This has to be taken into account.

It depends on how much 'tangible evidence' you really need. P4P lists are subjective, not matter of fact. People have different criteria, I personally use a combination of achievements, skills and h2h

Otherwise Oscar De La Hoya would be p4p #1.

A Lot of people thought Marquez beat Pacquiao in the 2nd fight. That might explain the reluctance to place him above Calzaghe. But most of this pfp ranking stuff is just a load of crap. They're completely different fighters, in terms of style, strengths, history, etc. Both seem to know how to get the job done, though.

    But to what extent?

Calzaghe won by a clear 3 points, possibly 4, after being knockdown on my scorecard. Whereas Pacquiao drew with a knockdown. Marquez ain't that much better.

"Clearly" won the fight is subjective. There was clear controversy in the Joe-BHop fight too and I was the one who scored it for Joe.

If we're not going to use recent victories then what should we use then? Pac's demolition of MAB twice vs Joe's schooling of Lacy? Pac's demolition of Morales twice vs Joe's demolition of Manfredo? Or are we gonna use the 5 titles in 4 divisions (3 Ring belts) vs Joe's 20title defenses of the WBO belt? Joe's biggest achievement is Kessler and right now, Kessler is still pretty unproven on the elite level...that victory was no more impressive than Pac's demolition and KO of Ledwaba who was also ranked around top 15 p4p at the time, same as Kessler.

Slappy can't carry Pacquiao's jock .. Pacquiao moves up multiple divisions ... destroys the best repeatedly and you compare his resume and/or talent to Joe 'Best Fighter In Wales' Calzaghe?

When Joe gets buried are you gonna sleep in the little coffin right next to his adult one?

    LMAO

    :fight

The man/boy love for Joe is powerful stuff

You credit someone for getting knocked down and descredit someone for scoring a knockdown? :patsch
