What isnt there to Joes attack, He had to be aggresive against Bernard or there wouldnt have been a fight, it was always gonna be dodgy territory with Bernard looking for right hand with Joe walking onto it forcing the fight and thats exactly what happened.

Joe dont have to look for Pac, so what we got, Pac coming forward straight shots/body etc / 'relentless pressure' all will be his downfall, Joe deals with that all day everyday and twice on fight night, Pacs not as fast neither.

And what your overlooking apart from the ridiculous statement that he just slaps, is Joe as an awesome counter puncher, one of the best.....

JMM and MAB are not Joe Calzaghe, completely different types of fighters and Joe WOULD outbox the lot

Since when has Joe dealt with anyone near as physically gifted as Pac? Lacy? :rofl Lacy can be compared to about Juarez, someone both JMM & MAB very easily danced around with yet couldnt do so with Pac. Your right, Pac is not as fast, hes faster. Pac throws real powerful punches with speed, Joe throws slaps with speed. Try boxing sometime, its much easier to look faster when you put alot less power into your punches. Pac will look for Joe, and will find Joe. Nobody has ever managed to run away from Pac for 12 rounds, theyve always had to engage in a brawl. Now between Joe's slapping brawling skills vs Pac explosive powerful punches, id pick pac any day of the week.

Sure Joe would outbox the lot. He lost 4 rounds against the robotic Kessler, JMM is alot more skilled and versatile than Kessler, what makes you think he would outbox JMM? If anything JMM has the better timing and variety of punches. Bernard showed how to offset Joe's speed with timing and had he had the stamina for 12 rounds, may very well have scored a whitewash. I was rooting for Joe heavily and my whole family thought up to the 5th round Joe was gonna loose, I kept on saying all the way through that Bernard will run out of gas soon and Joe will take this fight. Wala, right on the money.

And oh, I ask again what is there to Joe's attack? You dodged the question. He doesnt have great power, he doesnt particularly have a great left hook, not a great right, probably a good jab but even Bhop was outjabbing him, he has brittle hands. All he really has is accumulation of slaps. Pac has power, explosiveness, powerful right hook, vaunting straight left. There really is no competetion when it comes to offense. Joe has ring generalship over Pac, to hope to win against Pac he would need to control it for 12 rounds without getting tagged...else hes gonna kiss the canvas more than once.

For all this fantasy matchup talk, bottom line is Pacquiao has seen nothing like Calzaghe, and vice-versa.

'try Boxing sometime' i do Box so dont make no snub comment at me like i dont know ****, i know Joe beats Pac and that aint no ****.

We gonna go round and round with this and its pointless, i say to you try 'watching' boxing sometime, namely Joe's career if your gonna make comments on how he fights, i like yourself called the Hopkins fight bang on, i said ''this is gonna be the closest call of his career, the styles all wrong for Joe, Hopkins is gonna try and mug him, and whilst Joe is pressing the ****-awful looking fight he is gonna eat a sneak right hands maybe one or two sits him down, but he WILL find a way, JC SD''..... Wala

Joe will go down as a real all-time great.....will Pac ?

6 weight divisions, 3 Ring belts, 4 weight division champ gunning for his 5th, beaten the 3 greatest small fighters of his generation all of whom sat top 5 p4p. Pac could retire today and has already secured his ATG ranking. Joe still has some left to prove...defending a WBO belt against nobodies 20 times doesnt count too much for legacy. Pac was already a HOF'er when Joe was still trying to break top 10 p4p.

As for watching Joe's career sometimes, Ive seen most of his big fights. I dont see the point in watching him fight the other 17 bums in his WBO defenses as a basis to prove how good he was, its all relative to how good your opponent is end of the day. Thats like me saying watch Pac rip apart some of his opponents at 122 and his devastating power. His power is only as devastating as his opponents chin, as is Joe's skill relative to his opponents ability to counteract that skill.

Joe has nothing to prove. He's unbeaten in the best part of 2 decades, and Pacquiao would know what an achievement in consistency that is given he's been KO'd by 2 relative nobodies

He's the best fighter in the history of his division, and a two weight world champion with a solid resume

    Nothing to prove.

unbeaten... of course. But who are those guys?? were they part of the pound per pound elite?? ;) kod? but prime pac didnt kiss the canvass while he is in his prime. joe kissed the canvass courtesy of an over the hill 43 year old bhops. ;)

pac is 4 time world champion and 3 time lineal champion in a span of 6 weight divisions. joe's resume is just a dust compared to pacs :good

Unbeaten for so long dont mean crap when youve got Frank Warren promoting you. Every step you make is made sure so that you dont loose your next fight. Practically all Warrens big fighters are undefeated for about 40 fights... Pac on the other hand comes from a poor country with poor management taking fights on 2 weeks notice, going to other fighters backyard. Had Pac had Joe's competetion with as good management, he would be undefeated too.

Its not about who hasnt beaten you, its about who you beat. Im undefeated too but I sure as hell dont have Barrera on my resume.

Im not knocking Pac one bit, i friggin love the guy if the truth be known, he deserves all the credit he gets (robberies and wrong decisions i dont hold against him either as its not his call)....

Joe's lack of respect and late credit is shocking and mostly down to one country, he is the best SM of all time, and could have rolled with any MW in history, truth, anything but die hard boxing fans in America hadnt heard of him till they sent there so called 'Mini Tyson' over here to sort him and then after said he was over-rated, they friggin rated him....lol

Joe and Pac are of 'The Elite', to think Pac would walk through Joe is just daft....

All Warren's fighters are undefeated for 40 fights are they? No need to make stuff up, thats pretty desperate

I wasn't even trying to say Pacquiao has an inferior resume. Simply that Joe has jack **** to prove to anybody

Joe gets no lack of respect from me. Its not a case of me underestimating Joe, I just happen to hold Pac in very high regard. For the record, I was one of the few who said Joe will outbox Lacy easily and was calling Lacy 1-dimensional before Joe beat him. I find Joe's win over Kessler and his ability to adapt to a very akward (headbutt) Hopkins very impressive and I agree with you in saying that he is up there in H2H matchup's of all time.

And no I dont think Pac simply walks through him, I was just replying in equally exxagerated term as when you stated that Joe would simply "dance" around Pac and pepper him. It would be a tough fight for both guys, Pac will find Joe and Joe will have some success in outboxing Pac. I just think Pac may get the better of him.

Watch Khan go undefeated for so long, Warren wont match him up with anyone who has a chance of putting him to sleep :) And why did it take Rick Hatton 40fights to step up? lol.

Ricky Hatton hadn't fought anybody like Eubank or Robin Reid earlier in his career like Joe did. His competition was a certified joke before Tszyu. But yes, you are right, he is the only one I could think of. Certainly not 'all' Warren fighters, as you profess...

I'm watching Khan with interest, but there is no point to be made. He hasn't even had 20 fights yet

The point remains, Joe has absolutely nothing to prove. What will it prove if he beats Kelly Pavlik? What will it prove if he beat Roy Jones or Chad Dawson? It proves nothing, it just strengthens his resume, there is a key difference there.

Eubank had about 2 weeks notice for that fight. And oh, when Joe had his breakthrough with a fight served up on a plate for him, an aging British legend who had 2 weeks notice, he failed to take advantage of it for 10 years. Pac on the other hand was the one being given 2 weeks notice to take on champs like Ledwaba (see the contrast in management?) and when he had his breakthough with MAB, his comp has been nothing but amazing. To put things into pespective, Pac fought 8 good-great fighters in his next 10 fights after making a breakthrough. Joe fought 1 good fighter in his next 15 fights after making his breakthrough. Its easy to see who had the easier path.

It will strengthen his resume but isnt that what ATG rankings are about, the strength of your resume? As it stands, there are many many more fighters in history with stronger resumes than Joe, Pac being one of them. So to answer your question, beating Pavlik, Dawson will prove hes right up there as an ATG.

Anyways I wasnt the one who questioned Joe's ATG status, it was merely a counter to J-Dog questioning Pac's ATG standing whilst claiming Joe is a real ATG.

Who cares how much notice he had? Eubank at 2 weeks notice is better than Joe Bloggs the plumber from Essex at 10 weeks notice, that was the sort of diet Hatton was regularly feeding on in his unbeaten run up til Tszyu

In my view, Calzaghe is already an ATG and there is nothing prove. Only to strengthen. You were the one saying he has something to prove...

There have to be unanswered questions for you to prove something, beating a Kelly Pavlik wouldn't prove ****. It would simply be more tangible evidence for us to say Calzaghe is higher ATG than we thought previously.
