Fair enough, for the sake of Joe's resume the blame must go to FW, if Joe had his way he would have fought the best every fight, he aint afraid of no man, seriously FW does want shot....

Bare in mind its not Joes fault when he was born, he himself says he wishes he was born a few years earlier for the sake of his career matchups, but Benn and Eubank have both said if Joe was around prime for prime with them they have both have said he would still have the 0 in his column....he is that good.

And if he could only slap he would never have put Eubank on his arse, whether Chris took the fight on 2hrs notice no slap sits him down.

You should know Joe was a different fighter back then compared to now. He put alot more to his punches back then. A prime Calzaghe vs Pac as he is now, I probably would have favoured Joe. But now I dont think he has the power to keep Pac off him and as crazy as it sounds, I think Pac actually has the styles advantage here. I could use the Joe vs Bika fight as an example, that was a hard fought fight for Joe but if Bika was that much more explosive, faster, more accurate and IMO hit harder then I could very easily see Bika winning. Not that Joe would necesarily fight Pac that way.

It was barely a 70% Joe that fought Bika, he took him very lightly and lost his temper with him many times and forced a shocking fight...

Vs Pac he would never turn up with that mindset, you would be getting the JC brand of hellfire, that JC would be P4P problem for anybody, Mayweather included (but lets not get into that one yet) granted he doesnt sit down on them as much due to adapting his style over the years for various reasons, but that doesnt mean he cant.....

He was planning on sitting down on them with Mary Hopkins but that went out the window when he had to give chase.....

If your going to work it out that way both Pacman and Calzaghe should be above Mayweather.

    Hatton at 147
    DeLaHoya washed up
    Baldomir

never argue witha Brit over Joe C' standing because facts, common sense, rational, dont mean a thing.

its easy to overlook the fact that many had Hopkins winning the fight it was a split decison thats a fact. Joe D tasted the canvas and struggled thats a fact.
That Marquez was closer to his Prime than BHOP in their respective bouts.

if Manny beats David Diaz what will you be able to cocede then?

what else does Pac have to do to get his proper respect? or is every Brits head so far op Joe C' ass that reality is heretefor suspended. I tell you its the visual impact of Lacy getting drubbed, its the phsychology of that victory and what it means to those people, it is almost like the sight of Maradona ripping through the English in the World cup of 86 after the Fauklands and what it meant to Argentina. From that moment on it was worship and Heroes can ****ing do anything and will always be worshipped and reason need not apply.

    True

I think this is a close call.

The Hopkins Calzaghe fight was not a close call..not even close enough to debate. Calzaghe was the clear winner. anyone who can't see this doesn't know how to score boxing, period.

I thought JMM beat Pac in both fights and thats the stumbling block.

Has Pac faced better opposition? OF COURSE!!! Only an idiot would say not.

Liek I said, tough call due to teh JMM fights.

JMM in his prime isn't worth Bernard Hopkins out of his prime.

    Simple.

Easy....fans are fans! In boxing Fans of one or two particular fighters are extremely biased as well as transparent. Logic has no realm in a "FANATICS" world.

Joe is a great boxer without a doubt but he isn't above PAC on the P4P list. #3 is a good spot for what he has been doing lately but his level of comp has only one name that is truly great and that was Hopkins.....other than that he has very good to C level names like Kessler, Lacy, Eubanks ect

In reality Joe deserves his spot on the list, but not above PAC in any reality whether or not you are a JOE Fanatic or not.

PAC won a close fight against a PRIME great. Joe won in my opinion but barley and many disagree with me, so your "point" mentioned is pretty weak and without merrit.

Eubank prime was a solid A fighter, A- at worst. Cant say what he was at the time Joe fought him though.

Actually Pac won the first fight! He was given the draw by a lucky JMM who had one incompetent judge.

2nd fight was a much more clear Win for Pac and with the KD sealed the deal.

I don't think so at all. Pac's win was easy to score b/c of the KD and the control he had during the fight. Not to say it wasn't close bc it was but there was a clear victo and PAC won.

I thought Bhop lost but going to the decision I wasn't sure. I know I had Joe winning by two points but I knew many shots didn't land and nothing did any damage to him. And in the reports by the press there were more scoring in favor of PAC than there were scoring in favor of Joe.

I agree! Cal is a better overall boxer and even with his accomplishments it's still far and away from what PAC has accomplished in his career.

For what PAC lacks in boxing prowess his fighters heart, determination and talent make up for everythig which is why he's above Joe in almost every P4P list.
