Roy Jones was at 168 in the 90s, like 10 years before Calzaghe took the best American fighter in his weight class to school. Calzaghe was not even a champ yet when RJJ was already at 175. By the time Calzaghe took Lacy to school, RJJ had already been KTFO by Tarver and Johnson.

When Jacobs squared off with Pirog the world saw the wide gap in talent and skill between the Euro(world)- level fighters and the American level fighters. Jacobs was meant to be a saviour of boxing for the Americans, who for once thought they had a Euro-level talent bred within their borders.
Pirog's decisive destruction of Jacobs showed the dejected American fanbase exactly how far they have to go before they can begin to compete with the best. They should learn from the Phillipines, a country has has produced a couple of Euro-level fighters.

Who was better then Hatton from 130-154?

Schmeling beat a young louis. Then got beat from pillar to post when he fought Baer the best at the time. Turpin beat Robinson then got destroyed in the rematch, and was never nothing again. Fitzsimmons vs Corbett really? Corbett beat Sullivan a European then beat Fitzsimmons in the rematch, making 2-1 against europes best.

You cant think of many more notable fights because there havent been many great European champions.

So we are going for weight divisions now then? Can you please make up your bloody mind!

I can't think of any as your moving the goal posts every other post. You said the best then considered Hatton the best European when he wasn't, he was the best at his weight, just like Lacy was...

Can you just list the rules then we'll find some rather than changing the rules every post?

Lets be reasonable now. Calzaghe was afraid to fight Chad Dawson. Arreola would have rolled him up likea burrito.

And Dawson was beaten by Pascal who was beaten by Froch

    Arreola was beaten by Vitali

Like I said tell me what the rules are and we can have some sort of a reasonable conversation, at the moment your making up "rules" as you go along.

They weren't in the same division, until Calzaghe was old and on the verge of retiring.

I am not surprised since you can not spell if your life depends on it. And coming from a poster who does not know what FLOORED means, I would actually be impressed if you can spell your own country.
