Well, yeah, but Helenius was fighting with torn ligaments in his shoulder. The fact that Chisora STILL couldn't KO him says an awful lot.
Torn shoulder ligaments?? I thought it was his hand. Now I'm no biologist but the shoulder and the hand are not the same thing! So which one was it?
Chisora is about 6' & built like a genuine heavyweight, he's the former British champ who took up boxing late in life. He has an aggressive, swarming style & he likes to work at close range. He has good head movement & workrate for a heavyweight but he doesnt have big punching power. He also has a big heart, a decent chin & is an eccentric character who is coming to fight, he wont be passive like Haye was & this should be an entertaining fight.
I like this fight. Chisora has a great work rate for a Heavyweight these days when hes in shape. He said himself that he performs better when hes in wth better opposition. I'm not saying im tipping him to win or anything but i think it could be a pretty good fight.
He's a decent enough boxer, but his big wins are a pair of KO's over Sam Sexton and flogging the dead horse of Danny Williams. He could have beaten Tyson Fury if better prepared (he was seriosuly fat even by his own fleshy standards). That's all British title level fighting. He's only had one fight against a higher calibre of opponent than that, Helenius, which he lost but did get a very raw deal. If you didn't see it, it wasn't an "Amir Khan lost by one point on 2 cards in a close fight OMG!!!! ROBBERY!!!111" it was a real robbery. He would need more fights at that level before having a chance against either Klitschko, but there's a shortage of opponents so he's being thrown in to almost certain slaughter too early.
Chisora is a wicked fight for Vitali to take at this point, the brits are uber promoting it on here too :good
