Madison Square Garden - Early '08 Felix Trinidad vs. Miguel Cotto If and these are huge "Ifs": Tito KOs Roy Cotto KOs Mosley This can be one of the biggest and most exciting fights in recent history :deal Tito by brutal KO :bbb
Cotto isnt movine to 154 any time soon. And Trinidad would need to chop off a leg to make the weight.
For this fight they would both make it happen, especially if those outcomes happen. This fight would be ****ing huge and you know deep-down Cotto wants to beat him. :deal
It seems to be an hypethetical fight this one. Because like people have said would cotto have the power at light middle and would it be worth getting a pasting of tito to find out.
Right, that is what people said about the notion of Floyd fighting Hoya a few years ago. Nobody would ever imagine Jones would come back down to 168lbs to fight TRINIDAD, and nobody imagined for a second that Wright would end up fighting Hopkins..........at 175lbs! This is a possibility if they both win via knockout :good And it would be huge :deal
WHY IN THE HELL WOULD HE/SHE????:huh Tito is DONE and that will only be more evident against RJJ in January. Cotto is the next PR legend and he's working on his legacy with the fights that MATTER. We dont need a torch passing ceremony, it's already happened!!!! I hope Cotto can get past SSM, which is far from a given, and then chase down superlips mayweather:good
Tito would never make 147 if his life depends on it. He would have to train his ass off to 154. Tito would beat the s**t out of Cotto. And Jones will beat Tito.
I'll wager Trinidad would not be able to make 154lbs, no matter how much money he would receive for a bout with Cotto! Damn, the fight with Roy is at 170lbs, and Trinidad snr says that will help his son as making 160 would be hard for him. We don't even know if Trinidad can make 160lbs again, let alone 154lbs!
I think Cotto beats Mosley, and Roy beats Tito. But even if Tito were to beat Roy, I doubt the fight will materialize due to the difference in weight. Cotto will probably fight the winner of Mayweather-Hatton, or maybe Oscar De La Hoya @ 154 or a catchweight a little below 154.
Folks, Tito is a fighter of the past.Sure, some guy with reflexes of stone is going around as Tito Trinidad, but talking about him fighting Cotto is like looking forward to a Jack Johnson-Shannon Briggs fight. The only reason he's coming back is that Jones appears even more washed up than he at this point.
You're talking about two fighter - where one fights at 147lbs. and the other is fighting at 170lbs. - you can't really think this fight is going to happen. but there's nothing wrong with wishful thinking.
