it's 4:40 am here so I won't go into detail.

People like to rip on JCC jr for not being that good, Canelo is only a tiny bit better.

As good as who says? He's probably better than I say, but I've only seen a few of his fights and wasn't all that impressed.

He's good enough to be a belt holder. I doubt he's good enough to be "The Undisputed".

Pros: Strong. Throws with authority. Does good work to the body. Fairly good chin. Technically sound. Good stamina.

Cons: Porous defense. Fairly slow. Throws almost no combinations. Jab could be better.

    That's my opinion though.

Canelo ain't that good, but he is young and will hopefully improve and fight better people.

I don't like him. I like JCC Jr more after his win over Rubio, some nice bullying

Alvarez does throw combinations. His punching fluidity is good bearing in mind each shot has a fair amount of force behind it.

His chin has a question mark over it. Jose Cotto knocked him down and Kermit Cintron hurt him briefly.

He can be befuddled by his opponent dictating the angle of the exchange. Small half steps to either side to change the dynamic confuses him (See Gomez fight)

Likes to practice things at the wrong time I.E the sholder roll during a fight.

    Current ability B +

    Potential ability A -

    IMO.

    Ok, he throws combinations.

But my idea of a combination is throwing a variety of shots to set up more shots.

Canelo throws power shot after power shot that is simply produced to pummel the person, whether they block it or not.

So yea, he throws "power shot" combinations. Difference of opinion.

Canelo's shits on Chavez Jr skill and resume wise, specially considering he's like 5 years younger
