Hi there im new to this forum and i am in need of some vital help regarding my training. Basically i have watched boxing all my life but until recentley never thought about taking it up.
In novemeber of last year i decided at the age of 20 i was going to give it a go before i got to old and decided to go to my local gym. However there was a slight problem
over the last year i had piled on the pounds and at just 5ft 7ins i was weighing just under 80kg and to top it off i could just about jog to the end of the road. However i am not the quitting type and began roadwork everyday and now im training three times a week at my local gym. At first i was struggling to spar one round but slowly over the last 5/6 weeks i have got fitter and fitter and am now sparring 4-5 rounds and running 4-5 miles a day and doing interval sprints.
Before i began training i was eating around 5-6 meals a day this included a lot of junk southern fried chicken fizzy drinks chips pizza chocolate and carribean food,However with my training and clean diet i have lost 11kg in such a short space of time and now weigh in at 69kg.
However i still have around 4-5 kg to lose at least and i cant seem to go any lower on the scales i have tried eating next to nothing but this is not making the scales move and to be honest has left me feeling sick at training weak and not powerful when sparring. Im picking up the technical side quickly and my fitness is getting there however im starving all the time and to be honest just feel drained and im dreading sparring tommorow. Can someone please help me out i want to start dropping weight :verysad

You will always lose weight faster at first,
another thing you have to remember is that you'll be building muscle off your boxing workouts..
You will still probably be losing weight, just slower than you were before.
Don't starve yourself, it's the worst thing you can do.
+ remember you need to get about 3-4 litres of water in you a day when you're training

If that's your natural weight then yes,
just keep training like a boxer (i.e. don't train like a bodybuilder) and if you can fit that weight safely then you will get down to it.
Make sure you're eating right aswell..Don't starve yourself but don't eat too much either, and eat the right foods

thanks mate ill just try and forget the scales for a bit i wish i could just stay at 69kg but at 5ft 7ins i will be giving awat too much height and i dont think being really short at the weight will suit my fighting style.
