I know Linares had a shoulder and ankle injury that has kept him out since December 2007, but geez, it has been almost a year now. I do not even see anything scheduled for him. Does anyone know what is the world is going on???
Seemingly nobody knows what's going on with Linares, and his people don't seem to understand his popularity at this point - because they haven't made any effort to keep what fanbase be has informed and connected to his situation.
san rafael: I agree, his people really need to let the public know what is happening. Linares was becoming my favorite boxer and then...nothing...
I think he's currently injured and vacated his WBC featherweight title. He's stepping upto super feather and will most likely fight for the WBA title Valero vacated in order to move up to lightweight. I have no idea how long he is out for.
His younger brother was fighting last week and Jorge was in attendance, he said he will hopefully be back in the ring early next year
