Just looked at the WBO rankings, Ji Hoon Kim is ranked seven. Decent fighter but one that Burns should beat. Why can't Frank make a fight like that?

No one is expecting a unification fight in December but surely Frank can do better than Liam Walsh?

If Burns is serious about unifying the division next year he would be better off getting some exposure in the states by at least fighting some kind of gatekeeper that's known over there. All these domestic match ups and Euro opponents aren't going to win him any favours when it comes to negotiating a unification bout. The yanks already see him as a "stay at home Joe" type of fighter and I doubt many will remember his win over Martinez or Katsidis. Linares would be a decent match up, he's lost his last couple and Burns should be able to over come without risking too much and set up a 2013 unification fight?

Groves and BJ Saunders are going to be on this card as well. Bet their opponents are just as crap.

edit: Checked the boxnation site and this is their schedule for December 15th...

    Burns vs TBA
    Groves vs TBA
    Saunders vs TBA
    Conquest vs TBA

Typical ******, Burns recent fights have been great why the need to drop him back down to the SFW reign. It doesn't have to be someone great but could at least be someone decent

The problem is that Ricky wants big fights but he's not the type to rock the boat.He feels he owes Alex Morrison loyalty and Alex has a very close relationship with F-Wank.
I've a horrible feeling we might not see Ricky go as far as he's capable of.
Where's Oscar De La Hoya when you need him?

What a fantastic line-up. Frank has one again toppled Eddie Hearn.

I thought some English posters would maybe fancy a we upset on the card .Not many in this thread though but that's what I like about these fights .Who expected Burns to do it stepping up from Commonwealth level against Rocky ? I think with a good domestic fight or 2 on the card it could be decent enough .
