In a way, Pac reminds me of a modern day Jack Dempsey. I don't think either one gets enough credit for being able to pull off that kind of destructive, attacking style and having the success they had with it because they inevitably took more shots than defensive wizards to get the job done. Having gameplans like that reveal openings on film that lead people to think they were less skilled than more balanced or defensive fighters, but it's one thing to see it on film as opposed to seeing it and exploiting it in the middle of a firestorm where any punch can knock you out and you can't see them all coming. Their "aggressive defense" also doesn't get enough credit.

H2H, those two still seem underrated in general to me.

So far in this thread I have seen only a handful of fighters whom on the basis of anything I've seen in those videos I'd consider better than Pacquiao. :good

    If we are talking p4p:

Pac p4p beats Hearns, Pac would swarm him and knock him out. Hearns had one weakness in his chin, Pac doesnt have any outstanding weaknesses at this point.

Hagler could be outboxed, he was outboxed by an aging SRL who had been retired for 3 years. On top of that, in his prime he would draw with Autofermo. If Pac & Hagler were the same size, you dont think Pac would box circles around Hagler much the way SRL did? Except with even faster feet.

SRL-Pac is a toss up. H2H id pick SRL but only cos he's the naturally bigger. Apart from that both guys dont really have any noticeable weaknesses. Pac can be outboxed by a great boxer, but he had faster feet than SRL and was better at punching from angles.

Walcott and Basilio better than Pac? What are you high?

You got Walcott, but not the guy who beat him twice (Marciano). Makes no sense, unless you're speaking strictly on ability and not legacy which still is crazy argument to make.

    THATS ALL UR OPINION...

BASED ON THE STYLES AND THEIR RANKING I DONT SEE MARGARITO NOR CLOTTEY THAN BEING A BIGGER CHALLENGE THAN MOSLEY BTW...NEITHER WAS COTTO:patsch

U SAID "IF MAYWEATHER DOESN'T FIGHT PACMAN, HELL NEVER BE A TOP ATG"

U FAILED...ALREADY IS A TOP 50....GOAT AT 130...IF U INCLUDE RING TITLES AS A LEGIT "TITLE" THAN HE GOT 8 IN 5 WEIGHT CLASSES WHILE BEATING 4 LB 4 LB TITLE HOLDERS...

YEA MAN...ALREADY AN ATG...DONT NEEDA FIGHT PAC TO BE THAT..

SHANE MOSLEY #3 IN THE WORLD AND #2 IN THE DIVISION AT THE TIME FLOYD BEAT HIM WAS A BETTER VICTORY ACTUALLY....COTTO WAS RANKED BELOW SHANE AT THE TIME, BOTH ON THE LB 4 LB LIST AND THE WW LIST..

NICE POST BUT U GOT OWNED

I've watched many, many Pacquiao fights and in my opinion those guys are better. Pacquiao is a great, great fighter but I dont think he has surpassed those fighters yet and telling me to watch videos of Pacquiao is a stupid way to try and get me to change my opinion.

I believe Mayweather and a number of American professionals previously mentioned are better than Pacquaio. I can also name literally dozens of Euro-level athletes who simply surpass Pacquaio

  15. rankings really dont mean that much. you have to be a complete noob to think that they do. mosley a top lb 4 lb fighter at 38 years of age? get the **** out here. mosley had been on the decline for years when he faced mayweather. he was also a known cheater. he obviously prolonged the inevitable through the use of peds. when cotto faced pacquiao he only had one defeat on his record. he was still a threat. margarito had only been stopped once when he faced pacquiao. he was a beast. if only because of his beard and his stamina. dont forget the fact that all of pacquiao's latest opponents or victims really were all much bigger than him. they were used to fighting at the weight. pacquiao made cotto look like one of those salsa dancing bums from puerto rico. the kind that looks for **** in nightclubs. how the hell is mayweather the goat at 130? look at his competition man. ****ing form your own opinion. stop repeating the bull**** u hear. mayweather knows how to sell himself. a lot of people have fallen for it. his resume is so padded u could use it as a pillow. his "0", in large, is the product of careful cherrypicking.
