Christ, I can't say the banish boxing crowd doesn't have a very legitimate point. This guy had it all in abundance including a NYU scholarship but decided to turn pro.

Alex always seemed like a cool guy, my cousin went to high school with him in the Bronx.Thought he always had that special talent, but that chin........I wish him the best.
When i was last with Alex, he struggled for words 'n had to be assisted on canes, but still had that million-dollar smile that I remember when he was a 16-year-old beast flattening everyone in the New York Golden Gloves. No matter how much time passed between seeing him or how large the group he was with, he always remembered me. Gave me a big hug and introduced me, telling 'em how far we went back.
