"Scoring a KD" due 2 n Xtremely drained Toney trying 2 mimick Jones' gesture, did I mention just how drained Toney was? 17 or 18 lbs gained from rehydr8ing since d weigh in .

Still, in no moment did Jones come close or even tried 2 stop that dead version of Toney.

    A gr8 victory 4 sure in n internet boxing forum's standards.
Especially those Xperts whom get their status by being biased and ignorant due 2 bias and ignorance.

A gr8 victory just like every other Jones victory: 33 yrs old Reggie Johnson @ 175, 40 y/o McCallum @ 175, Griffin #2 due 2 Griffin being rushed in cold, Felix Trinidad @ 170 (actually 1 of Jones' most impressing wins) , Vincenzo Pazienza @ 168, 33 y/o Jorce Vaca @ 160, after scheduling d fight 4 154lbs, Jones made a "l8 minute adjustment" and

The quality of the opponent (who was smack in his prime and a bit of a favorite) and the quality of the performance (God damned ridiculous) means it should rate very, very highly.

The weight-drained business is the only thing that keeps it from being a ten, because Toney did look genuinely awful throughout, and not always just because Roy was making him look bad. I like 9 for it.

Yes Toney wasn't in his best shape that night but he has had weight problems his whole career, i'm not buying that Toney was in one of his worst conditions for his biggest and most important fight to date.

Considering what Trinidad did to Joppy I think calling Trinidad a "welterweight" that Hopkins beat is a bit of a slight.....

Delahoya I can understand because of the Sturm fight...but Tito was ****ing legit.

Tito was a big welter anyway. He was struggling with the weight cut towards the end of his reign. 154 was probably the division that best suited him at the time and he and Hopkins each came in just a few pounds heavier than that.

True that. Great avis btw eh?

Trinidad was on the fast track to Roy Jones right after he disposed of that old dude Hopkins.

Roy must have hated that night. Big money fight against his major P4P threat whom he could have beaten with a hand tied behind his back goes right down the drain.

    He will win him.

Damn right he will. I believe :smoke

Imagine how different everything would've been? Trinidad knocks out Hopkins late on in a tough fight, the hype for the fight is insane, then Trinidad moves up, and gets tooled by Jones? Does that do much for Jones even?

Crazy how boxing can work out. It's just the best

honestly, jones would have likely had an even higher place all time than he does now. the win in retrospect doesn't seem like much but as cobra said, tito was his p4p nemesis.

if jones had domianted, he would have solidified his place...continued as p4p 1 and the win over ruiz (if it happens) puts him on another planet hype and legacy wise

I rate it an 8. Brilliant effort by Jones, I just don't rate Toney as high as others. Just curious, was Toney weight drained for all his losses or were there any where he just got his ass kicked?

All of his other losses are a case of him having too much weight.

    Rotund, is the word.

Just making my vote, I personally went ahead and went with nine. It's closer to nine than eight anyway. No one said anything that made me think I overvalued it so there we are. Good comments. Good men. Especially Jorodz, who got rid of that dreadful RJJ avatar.
