Please Stop Saying PBF Almost Got KOd!

    Stop. Please stop. No more, just stop. Mosley landed 2 shots in the 2nd. They were good shots and Floyd felt them but that's it. 2 good right hands in the 2nd does not = almost KO'd. His legs were not gone for the rest of the round. He was not falling around the ring. He was not running for the rest of the round. He was not clinching for the rest of the round. He was not in retreat mode. In fact, Floyd was pressing the issue during that round, stalking Mosley after the punches that "almost KO'd" him had already landed. This was not Shane vs. Margarito where one guy is falling all over the ring and instantly in your mind you're thinking, "this guy's almost KO'd!"

    Now what did those punches do to Floyd? They buzzed him, that's it. No more, no less. And because he's such a smart fighter that's all they had the opportunity to do because he immediately clinched after said punches had landed to rob Mosley of the opportunity to land some follow up shots that would have then taken him from buzzed to ***** street. And Kudos to Floyd for that. I've never seen such a gross exaggeration before. The only appropriate thing to say is he was almost knocked down.

    So here's the difference between what being "almost KO'd" looks like [round 8] . . .

    Yep, and from that point on Mayweather used the shoulder roll and the Mosley right was no more.......

    The want for Mayweather to lose is at an all time high, I think. Floyd's composure after being stunned is what impressed me most. He's in complete control of his breathing and heart rate.

    Mayweather got rocked, but that's about it really. He recovered pretty quickly.

    As a Mayweather fan I was shitting it at the time, I thought Floyd was getting ko'd, it looked very shakey and his legs looked to be gone, a peach of a punch. When you watch it again (I watched it a few times), it doesn't look nearly as bad as when you watch it the first time. Some of that shakeyness look was down to defensive smarts, Floyd comes back to walking Mosley down and beating him up about 40seconds after getting buzzed. You could tell his corner was concerned though

    This fight reminded me of Mayweather-Corley

    pbf did the chicken dance alright...but he recovered quickly....or mosley step off the gas??? the punches succeeding the 2nd right hand where like pitty pat punches, anyone noticed that???

    Mayweather got stunned and held. He knew aswell his mistake and adjusted well.

    respect to him for not chatting **** at the end when merchent asked him about Mosley's right hand in round 2, he knew he was stunned

    It is a given that Mosley RIGHT NOW beats most of the top welters out there.

    So either the division suddenly sucks ass, or Mosley is still pretty good and those screaming 'he's shot' are full of bull**** excuses to diminish Mayweather's achievement.
