    who has he fought seriously guys c'mon. i am not trolling or hating but how does he even get mentioned to fight floyd already? cotto beats alvarez as well

    Miguel Vazquez is the best opponent on his record. A very good win. Still has no business fighting Floyd.

    He is being mentioned because he is a known fighter, marketable and he holds a belt.
    He has beaten a lot of B and C level fighters and looked unimpressive in his last two fights.
    His best win is probably Ryan Rhodes who was overrated by THE RING.

    Alvarez would walk straight through Cotto. If he is going to fight Mayweather the fight will need more time to build if they are going to be able to pay him what he would request for a fight like that. That being said I expect Cotto vs Alvarez before
    Mayweather Alvarez.

    He's young and only just bridged the gap from prospect to champion. The reason he has been mdentioned as a possible future opponent for Floyd is they are backed by the same promotional company (obviously a huge factor in the sport today) and Alvarez has a huge mexican fanbase, if it makes sales then it makes sense.

    guys i know WHY he is being mentioned lol mexican same promoters rising name etc i am saying he doesnt deserve that yet mayweather schools the kid and everyone will hype him up to be something hes not
