Please understand that in boxing a weight class is actually a RANGE and not one particular value.

For example, WW class is recognized at 141-147 and NOT just 147. All sanctioning bodies will recognize a WW fight at this range. Any fight happening between this weight is considered WW. 147 is the limit. Matches tend to happen at the limit of each weight class because most fighters tends to be naturally heavier than they contracted weight.

And JMM vs PBF was not a WW fight then?

Like I said, you can kick and scream all you want. There is nothing unusual for fighters to fight between the limits of 2 weight classes especially if you have a fighter coming and/or fighter coming down.

no, it was a catch weight fight with a built in penalty clause, not a WW fight

Pacquiao is a JrWW fighter anyways. He can probably still fight at lightweight. He doesn't need to face top WW's at 147. He faced a top WW at 145. Whats the problem? Its not like Cotto would've won at 147 is it? The fight wasn't even close.

:patsch Only you could add 2+2 and get 5...

Floyd got bashed for his 2 pounds because they agreed at 144, byt he didn't even attemp tot make it.

Cotto fought at 146 right before, and WANTED 145. Moron...

Floyd faught a more healthy version of DLH .....PAC a more healthy version of Hatton....AT HIS WEIGHT! Remember Floyd had Rick move up to 147 where Rick is not at his best.

Pac's isn't making ***** demands. Floyd is the one demanding the additionnal tests. Pac's only major demand was that Floyd make weight. Nothing ***** about it.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "limit".
