    ...yes, German (promoted) boxing is disgracefully corrupt and you have to score a stoppage to be certain of winning against a local favourite in Germany or on a card promoted by a German promoter, but let's be careful about the kind of language we use here about the Germans.

    I think a positive way of dealing with the disgrace is to write in:


    To the President of the German Boxing Commission: Dr Bodo ECKMANN :

    I was shocked and appalled to see the way the fight between Danny Williams and Konstantin Airich was refereed and run and especially to see how Airich's promoter, Mr. Ahmet Öner of Arena Boxpromotion was allowed to influence the course of events in a highly illegal way, when he personally rang the bell to save his fighter in round six, with over one minute and thirty seconds left on the clock. As a boxing fan, I have lost all confidence in German and German promoted boxing and I would urge you to do all in your power to remedy the situation, for the sake of the sport and it's credibility.

    In this case i think we should all take 2 minutes to show our disgust at what happened.

    **** e-mailing Ohner im sure he doesnt give a ****.

    Getting hold of the German Boxing comminsion is a good idea.They might possibly revoke his license(highly doubt it).

    At the very least we should let them know that a promoter ringing the bell to try and save his fighter goes beyond a bit of string pulling.

    Most of there fighters are non German anyway.

    You can damn well convert to Scottish, I would be accepted immediatley, a Scottish friend of mine taught me all I need to know in speaking scot-banter and Dunky will do the conversion ceremony right here on the site.

    **** that, the German fanbase(not all of them mind you, the casuals), accept bull**** like this day in and day out. I'm not bashing the fighters, but I'm irritated with the state of corruption and the fanbase that comes out to the events and tunes in while accepting this horrible mistreatment of non-german signed fighters that come in and fight on their cards.

    It messes with fighters livelyhood and it's quite common. Most people just do not pay attention, you'll still see some here who accept Sven ottke's reign as legitimate.

    Isn't going to do anything, if they cared what hardcore fans on a forum thought, they likely wouldn't have any money!:lol:

    A real way to correct it is to boycott all promotions outside of germany and to not allow any foreign talent to come in until some real rules are established that must be obeyed by these ****s.

    I think enough is enough. Have Oener arrested on top of it for 'fraud', corruption interferes with boxers living.
