I actually have to do a little researh to see the validity of MW reply and eureka, it is as empty as your post.

Are you lecturing me on jabs and power punches, because those numbers were for power punches. If you want me to include Jabs I might oblige you. But do your own research.

Face marks are part of fighting. It is affected by many factors. To equate how a face looks to ass-whooping is plain ignorant and dumbwit. Example - a fighter who covers his face in a fight would obviously not get face mark -like clottey. Compared to Ortiz who barely covers his face. That is why body punches counts.

Some fighter do mark easily and I noticed that Black fighters tend to not show marks compared to white or caucasian fighters. Example - hatton will always get mark,

Rewatching this fight and seeing slow-mo parts, and not having the bias HBO commentary...Ortiz was doing much better than given credit for.

He was brining the fight to Mayweather, using good head movement to make Mayweather miss, and roughing him up inside every chance he had.

First - with Mayweather's reach he shouldn't be scared to fight pac.
Second - I think Abraham would argue that this is as much grounds for a DQ as his was.
IE ref had stopped the fight and was motioning to judges. Hence an illegal punch
And yes you should still remain vigilant and protect yourself at all times

Slo mo just underscores how Mayweather was controlling this fight. Ortiz landed a few good shots, in this round. This was one of his better rounds, until the butt, IMO. Floyd rolled most of Ortiz punches, though. It's obvious Ortiz was doing a a fair amount of rabbit punching and working that head in, throughout the round, even before the clearly illegal headbutt.

One punch can change a fight, of course. But, I see 8 or fewer more rounds going the same way....in Floyd's favor. He had no need to "escape". On the other hand, one could better make a case, that it's Ortiz who found a way to "escape".

 

IMO you still need a jab. Its essential imo. Ortiz's jab got countered because he doesn't have one. His jab ain't ****. Ortiz likes to bang. He had a little success when he bullied Floyd because he outweighed him by 14 pounds. Just like Oscar and Castillo.
