Ortiz could've won if he had the right mindset. Sad people don't see that. Floyd had no business getting hit with the shots he did at 2 minutes in. He has slipped just a little.
I have been told that my boxing knlodge is lacking here. I had no idea that the air around Mayweather is consedered a scoring blow thanks for the lesson! The slow motion shows how dommant Mayweather was. Ortiz did a lot of missing. He landed two good shot to get Mayweather to the cornor but that was it everything else pretty much missed. The slow motion also shows that Ortiz had his eyes on Mayweather not Cortez when he got knocked out.
Floyd was lucky... fought a superior fighter and would have been KOéd enytime... Maybe he can now face Prescott for a fight with Khan... if Khan allows him... Then he can get educated again...Like Ortiz............................. **** off... respect the man... Its to easy just saying: i hate him...and like manny better.... no matter who you favour...no one has the IQ and technique like floyd.. Stand up for floyd abilities and respect his talent... or sit the f... down
I dont know what everybody is talking about. Seeing that in slo mo just showed me how little Ortiz connected anyting meaningful. Almost all headshots were blocked, dodged or didnt hit flush.
Ha, didn't take as long as I thought it would for you to reach in your purse for the homo jokes. :rofl
I still don't see a way to give the round to Vic even putting the point deduction aside. His best punch was the short right hook which landed nicely but not to the point where it put Floyd on ***** street like the Shane Mosley shots. Floyd landed too many right hands on Ortiz. And even if you give the round to Vic for whatever reason, he's still likely to get stopped in a late round. The fight was playing out to be very similar to Floyd-Hatton. I'd like to see Floyd stop Vic again in a rematch just to silence the ones who don't want to accept Floyd beating Ortiz the first time. But Floyd has bigger fishes to fry, and Vic doesn't deserve another golden shot yet. Time to move on. If I'm not mistaken, Floyd averages 16% in regards to punches landed on him. I haven't checked but that's gotta be a record. The guy is not unhittable. He is going to struggle momentarily just like every other elite fighter in the sport. It's just part of the game. It doesn't necessarily mean his opponent is going to win. Ward was struggling with Abraham in the early rounds. I can easily say for 2 rounds Cotto was beating Pacquiao. I don't make a big deal out of it because I know Pac still dominated Cotto overall. Sometimes momentary struggle actually makes a fighter better as the fight goes on.
I agree with everything you say except for Floyd Hatton aspect simply because of Victor's weight. It takes Rounds for the weight factor to take it's toll. Nobody knows how it would have played out.
