he has put the work in and he should be right around 238-241 thats where he wants to be to feel good i will try and post some pics this thursday he is having a open work out so if i dont get down there they will have some posted anyways i might get down tomorrow to see some sparring
I don't really know what he's going to do with Povetkin. How you gonna keep this dude off if you have little power? And how are you going to completely neutralize the boxing ability of such an outstanding amateur? Povetkin seems to have most areas covered in this fight. To beat Povetkin a good defence is needed, some real power, especially in the right cross he is vulnerable to. Then you can freeze him up and get him confused between going forward or back. Put doubt in his mind. Anyway, hope he puts in a good fight. Everybody deserves respect, especially for travelling for this kind of fight against the odds.
If you look at the level of competition that Estrada has faced in such a brief career I can see why he has so few knockouts. Bryant, Walker, Shufford, Wiggins, Diaz are not the type of fighters that you pad a record with ko's with. These are guys that most heavyweight hopefuls don't face until they're a little more experienced. I'll be interested in seeing how he fares against Povetkin.
thank you for pointing that out to people cause it seems like all people care about is the ko i wonder if jason fought more bums in the beginning to pad his record if he would get more respect or if his comment at the games put people against him no matter what his record says
why jason was not a outstanding amateur?i think he will keep him off by by setting up angles and being first all the time he will over whelm povetkin with his speed and footwork and he will not sit in front of him and act like a punching bag.....i think jason will be able to tag povetkin with uppercuts all day but i guess we will have to wait and see...like i said even if he gets beat i think he will gain respect from fans across the world
Same thing with my boy KINGPIN. Fight above average fighters that do not lose alot by ko. Estrada's fight with moultrie Witherspoon proves he does have some pop. Witherspoon fought alot in the Southeast, I remember seeing him against Aron Lyons in GA. Lyons hit him with shot after shot that would have ko'd alot of other HW's but Witherspoon took it. Not against Estrada........ Estrada is my #3 American HW GOOD LUCK TO HIM IN ALL HIS FIGHTS........REPRESENET THE GOOD OLE U S Of A.
again kevin is a guy that people doubt but i think he is good and has what it takes and i have said many times i wish jason and kevin met up to see who really has the fastest hands in the hw div
Good luck to your boy! I think he's a good guy with a strong resume so far. Win or lose, I'm sure he'll come away with some needed exposure and new facets to work on. :good
i actually remember watching one of his fights replayed on COX...cant remember which one...and he was in the corner between rounds and the camera caught him saying something like "**** knockin *****s out...i wanna punish *****s"....lol
