I'd support GGG over Canelo, both great fighters but I happen to like GGG a little more.

Oh and I'm Mexican, so there's that.

That's because ODLH is American, and JCC is Mexicos most popular, and most loved boxer.

ODLH has more hear in his small testicle than most fighters today.

Being a smart business man (for a fighter) is about how you invest your money and how you market yourself to get big money fights. Not how well you negotiate every little physical advantage for yourself over your opponent. That diva **** is what he learned from Mayweather. He has adopted the attitude of "Well I got screwed by the A side so I should screw my other opponents down the road like I was." You may respect that and feel he has earned it, but a lot of us called that a ***** move when Floyd did it and no less a ***** move now. And Floyd wasn't holding the 154 title hostage at the time so this is even worse somewhat.

Ward wasn't much of a boat to miss because he wasn't and still isn't yet a draw. Neither was Lara who was never going to be allowed to fight GGG anyway because of promotion and networks issues at the time. And get this, neither of those guys were holding MW titles which has always been GGG's first objective.

Look, I like Canelo in general. I agree he generally takes on tough challenges and is a really solid fighter who has earned my respect in the ring. But this Mayweather/Cotto diva type **** he is pulling here is bull**** and everyone not biased knows it. He doesn't want to defend that MW belt against the best Middleweight competition when he hasn't even been able to make 154 himself. He wants to use his draw power to fight the MW champ at a drained weight to give himself a physical edge. Ok. Let him just drop the belt and fight GGG for no title then. Assuming GGG will still do it for just the money. Nobody is a MW champ if they can't beat the top guys at the actual MW limit.

Apparently Canelo is a much better business man than GGG then.

Canelo has EARNED the right to call the shots by continously fighting the best opposition available. Even now he isn't ducking GGG, he said 155, and Mr. 97K aka 164 knows where to find his opportunity.. Opportunity knocks once, hopefully GGG doesn't F it up again.

Canelo has never fought at 160, sure he holds the WBC MW title that he won at a CW, which had been previously defended at a CW, and prior to that won at a CW.

This isn't about a stupid, corrupt, tainted, pathetic ABC belt, this is about 2 fighters in their prime fighting period.

I don't like CW, but Canelo in his 25 years has done a hell of a lot more than GGG in is 34 in terms of pro boxing, so I can't get mad if Canelo is willing to fight GGG at 155..

What is hell of annoying is GGG being 34 and passing opposrutnities left and right because he won't budge on weight, and for some reason did not want to fight Lara.. Now that is diva shid.

What? Dude, I watched Oscar's whole career and he was a timid fighter. He also got accused of it and tried to get tougher late in his career, only problem was Bhop made him start crying in the ring.

I tend to agree with that. I think that they just want him to fight the man. If he does, they will get behind him 100%. Mexicans are a proud people and they play to win.

    :lol::lol::lol::patsch:patsch:patsch

Oscar De La Hoya was considered a brawler, slugger, KO artist from 130-140.

In his prime as he went up in weight he was mostly a boxer puncher, and it wasn't until the Trinidad fight that he chose to BOX, and even then for the Mosley fight he went back to brawling for that one fight.

You serioulsy do not know WTF you're talking about. :rofl :-(

That's not GGG's first objective, and their actions clearly prove that. If it was, they wouldn't have given Cotto his blessing on a voluntary and then give Canelo their blessing for another voluntary. If his first objective was middleweight titles, he would clearly try and enforce his mandatory to see whether or not the WBC actually plays ball.

So that point is total bunk.

Beyond that, Ward may not be a big draw, but niether is GGG, or basically anyone else not claiming to be retired who isn't named Canelo or Cotto.

De la Hoya is not a slugger you ret**d..... he's a counter puncher... He's always been a counterpuncher
