The guy fought most of his life in his backyard and kept his mouth shut his whole f*cking career.
And now all over a sudden that he's close to retireing he opens his mouth 'cause he wants a big payday. A loss doesn't matter anymore anyway*.

Nothing wrong with this, but he should've opened his mouth some 5 years ago:patsch Mother ****er.

*IMO he should'ved lost against Maidana.

Word :smoke. He's fighting Amir khan, with alot of hype surrounding the fight he may feel the need to talk some **** to hype the biggest fight of his career. Cut the boy some slack.

Man shut the hell up. He fought in France and got a contraversial loss, fought in the UK got a contraversial loss, and is coming back to the UK for another fight against the golden boy of British boxing himself.

And what...Germany is the Ukranian's backyard also?

    :-(

After yet another circus show they gave the public in the Barrera fight expect a lot of it in this one unless Kotelnik blows him out Prescott style.

True, no way in hell Kotelnik's getting any help.

Kotelnik is everything that is right about the sport in most aspects and he gets a thread like this for talking some trash at Khan? The kid who has everything on a plate, whilst Kotelnik's had to earn his shots the hard way all over Europe. I think he has a right to talk.

He's fought a whole two of his title defences at home in the Ukraine and three fights in total. He's fought an eliminator in France. Three title fights in the UK, this is his fourth. He's fought in Germany under his promotional banner numerous times, including against Maidana who had a near 100% KO record - who the hell wanted to fight him?

He's fought in Austria, Hungary, Poland even as far as Venezuela when he was coming up in the sport.

    He ain't a homer.

I agree the Kotelniks of this world get shafted more often and not. Even though he takes risks and fights abroad. Khan's been handed everything on a plate and I still think he will come up short and be seriously exposed again in this fight. They know Khan cannot take a punch, so they put him in with someone they think cannot hit. Thing is, the Limonds and Gomez's are not huge punchers and they had him in trouble as blown up 130lbsers.
Kotelnik will be there for the duration and will get stronger as the fight goes on. Unless there is a bull**** stoppage or Kotelnik gets cut and robbed early on, expect to see Khan fold and dance sometime in the second half of the fight. I expect Kotelnik to try and start fast for two reasons:-

    1. He will know that Khan will probably have the benefit of the doubt with everyone if it goes to points.

    2. He will surely try to test that weak chin early on.

EVEN after those controversial losses he didn't speak up and opened his mouth as far as I can remember:huh

It just doesn't fit/match that a reserved, quiet, non-trash talker, to a all over a sudden when it's not really relevent anymore, starts opening a big mouth. A little late isn't it?

No way Maidana should have won this fight. There was nothing wrong with the decision. Kotelnik is very likeable imho. I always thought he is a very good technican and a tough fighter. And he really won me as a fan in the Maidana fight. At one point in the fight he was rocked pretty bad, but his defense is world class and he used it. I really think he knock out Khan. Kotelnik is not a banger, his whole game plan doesnt work in this direction, but when he commits to his punches, i think it will be enough to knock out Khan. You dont need to be a puncher to knock out Khan.

Anyone who ever takes trashtalking serious is clearly easilly offended and doesn't understand self-promotion.
