Well, becoming heavyweight champion of the world is not bad.I woulndt call that underachievement, but maybe he could have done more.Like rematching Hopkins when they were both dominating champs.

He means the Jones that shockingly beat the great Barrera twice.

Jones was a good fighter, he had a lot of physical attributes going for him at 122lb. However, he couldn't take too many good shots, and you sometimes had to question his heart. Don't get me wrong, he had some, but if he possessed the grit and determination of a Pacquiao or a Morales, Jones could have achieved a lot more than he did. I will never know how he beat Barrera, not once, but twice.

Bro u got it mixed up.. Not Roy Jones...

Im talking about the junior featherweight Junior Jones from the mid 90s who beat a prime Barrera.

    :bartPrime..nope.

If he wanted to face prime Barrera, he should have stayed relevant around 2000-2003 time. :good

Barrera was far from green, having already notched up over 40 wins and a World title, but he had not yet improved his defense, and became the beautiful technician that we witnessed against Salud, Sanchez, Hamed, and Kelley.

He had a lot of talent, and for his weight could hit real good. His main problem was, like many heavy hitters, he didn't take a great shot.

One of my all-time fav's, Junior Jones was a mini Thomas Hearns.
(Nobody can ever take away his win's over Barrera)

Defo underestimated, Once Morales blasted him out with ease.

Well if it wasn't for the Jones losses Barrera, arguably, would've never became the technician that you witnessed. It was those devastating loses which made him reevaluate his previous style.

ahahahahahhaaha did u get that from boxrec too Noob? Jones' notable wins are a " green Barrera " and Jesus Chavez?? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Yup you're a Boxrec noob allrite.. First of all you're talking about some other Chavez, a journeyman chavez and not the Matador Chavez who fought Morales with one arm, but nice try..

Also Barrera was not GREEN... I suggest u stay away from Boxrec and start watching the actual fight.

" Notable wins: Green Mab and Jesus Chavez ":lol::lol: classic
