Hope nothing else happens like injuries or smth and this fight will instead; better later than never. As for how it will play out, I agree with you that Bute's chin and defensive will almost be the decisive factor in this fight.
Yep. Let's hope for the best.:bbb BTW, very true what Michel said about Interbox: they're like skilled amateurs, managing their boxer (no plural needed) being a hobby when they're not opening a new restaurant of something.
Both fighters know what this fight is worth. They will both be ready for this fight. I'm very excited to see the outcome!
They already sold 15,000 tickets and they are aiming for 20,000. Pascal is overly confident, but that's ok. and Bute is very confident stating that he wanted the fight and he's gonna have fun on Jan 18th!... Classify fun in his eyes, I don't know lol. HBO will be televising it. All I can say is that Bute should've had a tune-up fight but instead of tune-ups he's gonna have some pretty serious sparring partners! It's going to be a banger! Bute will be bigger then usual.
Bute looked horrible against Grachev. He had zero confidence in himself and looked slow. Is that the effect of the punches he took against Froch? If he shows up like that against Pascal, he's gonna lose badly. On the other hand, Pascal also looked horrible in his 2 last fights. His old habits came back: swinging in the air, bad footwork. Which Bute and which Pascal will show up in January? In my dreams, they would both be at the top of their art but I suspect it's already too late for both men. I still have tickets and bring my son with me for the first time. The Bell Center will be packed and it's a good occasion to make him know the vibe of a boxing night.
If Bute's psychic is recovered and ok I think he'll beat Pascal by UD. Bute was drained and lethargical @ 168 and this was the main reason he was so chiny. Pascal is a hyped fighter too with stamina issues. If Bute passes well of the first 6 rounds than Pascal is gonna be beaten by Bute. Bute is not that weak. He beat pretty convincingly a prime Sakio Bika.
Why any elite fighter didn`t come in Montreal in those 4 years and a half if he was such an easy job? Didn`t he hold a major title and being undefeated in the same time?
Good then. Pascal has all the chances to win now, no? It's finally happening and on paper Jean is fav.
If Bute loses, then people will realize that was never that good. At the end of the day, the only W's that matters are the ones against elite level opposition, which Bute has 0 of. Pascal beat Dawson and lost to Bhop, but did cause Bernard problems throughout both fights, knocked down Bhop twice (Don't think that has ever happened) where his last kd was ages ago, therefore Pascal is more proven. But i do agree, both looked bad last time they fought. But i just think it's a case of a fighter who was hyped up from day 1 and never was that good, that people wanted to believe! If not Pascal beats him, then Stevenson knocks him out cold, that's for sure!! War Pascal!
Bute is going to dominate Pascal. Lucian knows how to protect his chin and he won't be underestimating Pascal like he did Froch. In addition he's had plenty of time to acclimate to 175 after holding his body down too long at 168. This fight will have a similar outcome to when Hopkins moved up to 175 after back to back losses to fight Tarver.
Bute has much better boxing skills than Pascal, but I have decided to make my prediction after the fight. After the fight I am 100% correct in my predictions...........
Bute might not have been that good but he dismantle everyone of his nine title defence opponents and looked better against them then other elite fighters...
